Engineering our Future

Like all of our employees, our engineers are always looking for ways to improve our business and themselves. Below three of our 20 engineering graduates in Woodlands are highlighted and share what they love about being an engineer.

Nicole Odo

Nicole Odo, a Fredericton Native and 2017 UNB Engineering alumni loves the fact that she gets to work out of her hometown while working toward receiving her Professional Engineer Designation. With the Woodlands Division, Nicole is currently working on reducing costs with trucking and road construction in Central New Brunswick. A career in engineering is rewarding because it is a diverse field of study, which allows you to explore and follow so many different paths. In civil engineering alone, there are several areas of focus that we can pursue, so it keeps the work interesting and challenging. Nicole was previously hired through the Careers in Motion program, and in 2016 worked for Sunbury Transport Ltd.

Jason Killam

University of New Brunswick graduate, Jason Killam knows that the best way to keep learning is to keep asking questions. Read below for Jason’s advice to any new engineer.

Lance Henry

Lance, a University of New Brunswick graduate, saw an opportunity to work with the best people by coming to JDI. Having spent a few years in Western Canada, coming back to the Maritimes was an easy choice. “It has some of the best people which was one of the biggest reasons I elected to come back, and has proven to be 100% true.”
