This was the second year that JDI
sponsored the Minto Tri-Lakes Ice Fishing Tournament. With a 50% increase in
participants and so many smiling faces, it's safe to say it was a
success.
JDI provided the registration prize again
this year, and was happy to present it to Scott Barton, pictured below.
It’s great having the opportunity to
support the local communities where we work. We met folks from many NB
communities, including JDI employees and families, that all came to enjoy the
fun of ice fishing at Grand Lake," said Robert Fawcett, Director of
Corporate Relations.
Minto is the host of the Tri-Lake
Tournament which is three days of fishing over the winter, as well as the
Family Day Fishing Tournament, which also had a JDI sponsored registration
prize.
“These events draw people into the Village from
all parts of the province and beyond," says Reg Barton, Deputy Mayor and
Councillor Liaison for Recreation Development in the Village of Minto."
Since partnering with Robert Fawcett and the JDI team on our Family Day Ice
Fishing Tournament we have seen the success of this event increase
exponentially. The participants are flocking in. From the generous prize
donations, number of volunteer hours to helping with marketing and advertising.
When they say “JDI Helps” they really mean it. Thanks JDI for helping the
Village of Minto put this event on the map.”
