Report Cards
At J.D. Irving, Limited, Healthy Forests means much more than ensuring a sustainable fibre supply. To us, it means ensuring we are always growing more than we harvest, planting trees that will grow twice the volume in half the time which reduces our footprint, sequestering more carbon than we emit, protecting our waterways to ensure clean and cool water, protecting unique and special areas for wildlife, biodiversity, cultural and historic value, being an active member in the communities where we live, work and recreate and providing good jobs that support families.
J.D. Irving, Limited is proud to have achieved certification under North America’s two most recognized forest certification systems; the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) program in Canada and the U.S. and the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® C041515) in the U.S.
