The Crown land that J.D. Irving, Limited manages has unrestricted hunting access and is subject to Department of Natural Resources (DNR) licensing and hunting regulations. J.D. Irving, Limited private land offers a variety of hunting access opportunities to the public dependent on location.

Moose Hunting

Attention moose hunters planning to hunt in 2024 on Taxis River & Clearwater management areas managed by J.D. Irving, Limited:

This draw applies only to New Brunswick residents.

Digital applications must be received by August 12, 2024

To maintain healthy moose populations in the Taxis River and Clearwater management areas, J.D. Irving, Limited will be issuing 50 access permits for the upcoming moose hunting season in the Boiestown area. The number of permits to be issued has been determined by company wildlife biologists based on science regarding healthy moose population numbers for Wildlife Management Zone 12.

Details: 

  • All hunting access permits will be selected in the draw.
  • 50 access permits will be issued.
  • No cash will be accepted this year; debit and credit payments only.
  • Moose hunters need to have been successfully drawn by the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development for the provincial moose hunt in Wildlife Management Zone (WMZ) 12 to apply.
  • Notification will be by September 9, 2024.

JDI APPLICATION TO HUNT MOOSE:

To submit an application, please fill out the 2024 Moose Hunting Waiver. Submit it with a scanned copy of your letter from the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development that confirms you have been successfully drawn to hunt moose during the 2024 season.  Scan and email to: langlais.daniel@jdirving.com.
